Product Reviews

I searched a lot of stores looking at TV's before I settled on this one. The picture is even better that I thought and most of the time we can't believe what we are seeing, it is so clear almost like you are there. Picture quality is good from all angles and I have my cable box and my Sony Blue Ray player hooked up to HDMI and only wish the rest of my equipment had HDMI connections. I have had no problems with the HDMI connections. We both love this TV.

This HDTV is an excellent value! When compared to other TVs on the Best Buy display wall, this set clearly had deeper black levels than any other sets in the price range. While the picture quality is great, audio quality is sub-par. The set's speakers protrude from a lip on the bottom, which avoids the muffling that can occur when the speakers are set aimed at the wall behind the TV as in some other sets. However, if you are looking for clear audio with pounding bass, this set does not deliver. I would highly recommend buying a separate audio system. Connectivity on the TV is similar to other models. While not as energy efficient, thin or impressive looking as Samsung's LED TV's, it's definitely nice to brag that I didn't have to pay $4500 for a TV. Overall, this set exceeds my expectations. I never expected to purchase an HDTV of this quality at such a low price.

I had 4 Sony HD Tvs prior to this one and this one replaced a 50" XBR1SXRD TV. I have been extremely happy with all my Sony sets prior to this one. I also bought a 32" S class at the same time. Using HDMI and 2 Dish Network Sat boxes the sound cones on about 3 seconds after the picture when you switch to it's input or un-pause the action. Sony techs have been out and say the TV is using advanced technology that the Sat boxes aren't yet which is causing the problem. The picture starts whiting out the instant you move to the side and more than any other Sony LCD I have seen. I would only recommend this TV if you don't use HDMI and you only sit directly in front of it.
